Adewale Salami

Adewale Salami is the Chief Technology Officer of FirstBank in charge of IT Solution Delivery to drive business value realization, Enterprise Process Automation, digital transformation, Robotic Process Automation & Digital Chatbots. He has worked with several corporations such as Citi Bank, Access Bank and FirstBank (current). Adewale has over 20 years of banking experience in branch operations & services, risk management, I T infrastructure management, process improvement, cloud technologies, automation, enterprise systems. process re-engineering and solution delivery. He is instrumental to the digitization of the Banking ecosystem and upgrade of core banking application in Nigeria and Subsidiaries delivering enterprise solution to over 20,000 workforce and more than 30M customers. In 2020, he received the First Banks CEO award for his consistent performance and exceptional leadership talents.

He is a recipient of the 2021 CIO Award by Great Place to Work. He holds a first degree in Electronics / Computer Engineering and MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School (Pan African University). He holds several certifications in Information technology, process improvement, cloud technologies, automation, and enterprise systems. A member of the Nigerian Computer Society of Nigeria and a yellow belter from IASCC.
