Branka Mracajac

Branka Mracajac is the CEO of 9 Payment Service Bank (9PSB), Nigeria’s first payment service bank with the mandate to close the financial exclusion gap in Nigeria. Branka is seasoned enterprise resource planning expert with 15 years of leadership experience within a traditional banking and FinTech industries.

An Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), she brings the best practices and top-notch planning and execution collected in more than 30 markets worldwide where she has had prime exposure to the challenges faced by Financial Institutions in their go to market and transformation strategies. Prior to her appointment by 9PSB, Branka worked in several multinational digital finance companies, where she was accountable for the risk management operations of the company, its subsidiaries, and other groups of related entities in Russia, India, The Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, Moldova, Ukraine, Spain, Latvia, and Balkan region. She was also responsible for the integration of risk concepts into strategic planning, risk identification, and risk mitigation activities.

Branka’s other notable achievements include a record of accelerating the adoption of digital payments and facilitating financial inclusion for various emerging markets around the world. She is passionate about women’s development and empowerment and believes that financial inclusion is the right of every individual. Under Her leadership, 9PSB has won several awards, including Best New Payment Service Bank in Nigeria by Global Brands Magazine; Africa’s Most Reliable Payment Service Bank by African Brands Congress, and Outstanding CEO of a Payment Service Bank in Nigeria – 2022, by the World Business Outlook Awards, amongst others.
