Currently the Head of E-business and Payments at Wema Bank, Nigeria and at the forefront of the Bank’s Digital transformation journey through innovation and technology on products; I am tasked with the mandate/strategy to grow the Bank’s E-business and payments offerings ,rapidly stimulate innovation in the Bank’s digital product engine and ultimately pioneer a new wave of faster, better and more efficient digital products for existing Wema Bank customers and new customers alike. I am an Alumnus of the University of Ibadan and also possess an MBA in Ecommerce from University of East London, UK.
As a Digital Payment expert with over 18 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry spanning Card Business, Retail Banking, Business development and Advisory Services, Damola understands the value the efficient utilization of technology and innovation across the banking and financial sectors can offer. I am a Strong proponent of partnership in technology, I love all things tech and understand the importance of building a strong tech ecosystem in Nigeria (in collaboration with Fintechs), the strength of enabling policies as well as identifying gaps and preparing for the future by empowering and supporting some key technology initiatives using innovative technologies.
