Deniss Filipovs

Deniss boasts over a decade of experience in central banking. Throughout this period, he held the position of Head of the payments policy and innovation division at the Central Bank of Latvia, while also contributing significantly to the European Central Bank’s initiatives in the payments sphere. His achievements encompass successfully negotiating the PSD2 draft among the EU Council, Parliament, and the Commission, along with active participation in various stakeholder groups within the European Payments Council. Since 2022, Deniss has been a driving force in leading Strategic Business Development at Tietoevry. Furthermore, he presently fulfills the role of Head of Sales and Business Development for Africa assisting banks, central banks, and financial institutions in constructing innovative, resilient payment solutions for the future.
