Georgina M. Odiambo

Georgina is a Service Delivery Ambassador with over 15 years of experience in successfully managing multifaceted projects, including but not limited to improvements, upgrades, and the implementation of new systems. Her expertise has been instrumental in various channels, including Mobile, Internet, and Card Systems. 

Currently, she proudly holds the position of Head of ICT Channels Operations at National Bank of Kenya. In this role, she leads a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the seamless availability of the Bank’s Mobile, Internet Banking, agency services, Money transfer options, 3rd Party integrations, and Business channels to delight our customers and support their current and future needs. This approach has enabled the bank to release innovative products, remaining competitive in the dynamic Kenyan market. She is a recipient of the Dx Nova Woman of the year 2023 award for her outstanding contributions, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to innovation in the realm of technology. 

Her journey in the banking industry has been a dynamic one. Georgina spent seven years at the Cooperative Bank of Kenya, where she focused on optimizing E-Channels, ensuring their efficient operation and now ten years at the National Bank of Kenya. Her competency extends to product development and the evaluation of current and future technologies. This expertise has enabled her to collaborate with Mobile Operators and spearhead Internet Banking initiatives. Additionally, she takes charge of purchase planning to ensure that the bank’s technology investments align with both short-term and long-term IT objectives. 

As a hands-on professional, she holds certifications in Prince 2 project management, ITIL Intermediate, and Scrum Master, as well as Scrum Product Owner and Management from Strathmore Business School. She possesses the ability to efficiently coordinate and direct all phases of project-based efforts. Her leadership style involves motivating and guiding teams, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring effective communication throughout the organization to cultivate focused and productive teams.
