John B. Kaweesi

Mr. John B. Kaweesi is a renowned Retail Banking thought leader in the Ugandan Banking industry, currently working with the leading Indigenous Bank (Housing Finance Bank) as Head Mortgages & Consumer Banking. During his professional career, he played several roles at Stanbic Bank Uganda that is; Head Digital & E-commerce, Head Alternate Channels & Regional Manager (In the Central Business District). He previously worked with United Bank for Africa (UBA) Uganda as the Head Retail Banking, overseeing Branch distribution & the Products function. He is passionate about the continuous customer journey enrichment, having been at the helm of several innovations in his previous roles. He holds a BSC, Mathematics & Statistics degree from Makerere University Uganda & has been a keynote speaker at several International Digital Finance events.
