Elizabeth W. Karinga

Elizabeth Wanjiru Karinga has been in the micro finance sector for the last 19 years, having grown through various positions within the organization from a receptionist to the Chief Finance Officer, and has been instrumental in the growth of the organization. An urban rural migrant, Elizabeth firmly believes that microfinance institutions play a critical role in financial inclusion, especially in the rural areas, providing resources and access to capital ultimately creating employment and empowering the financially underserved. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce- finance option, CPA Part II, Certificate in community-based microfinance from Coady institute and is an alumni of the school of Africa Microfinance. She is currently pursuing a Masters in leadership in development finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance and management. She champions Environment, social Governance (ESG)performance in the organization.
