Bernard Gyebi

Mr. Bernard Gyebi is an experienced banker with a deep understanding of Ghana’s banking industry, having worked extensively in the banking sector for the past 25 years. He started his banking career in September 1998, when he joined Barclays Bank (now Absa) through the bank’s Business Leadership Program (BLP). He rose to the level of Head of Corporate Credit and acted as Country Credit Director before joining Stanbic Bank as its Head of Credit Risk. He moved to the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) as its Executive Head, Credit Risk, and was later promoted to Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. He led ADB in the implementation of its enterprise-wide risk management framework. He also served as the General Manager, Risk Management, at Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC.

Mr. Gyebi is a product of Accra Academy and graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a BSc. Planning degree in 1996. Additionally, he holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Corporate Management & Finance from the Universite Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne and an MBA from Imperial College London. Mr. Gyebi is also a trainer in financial services programs and has served as a leadership coach in some of the institutions he has worked for. He had also previously served as a lecturer at the National Banking College. Mr. Gyebi’s rich experience and leadership make him a key asset in driving Prudential Bank’s growth. His appointment as Managing Director took effect on 28th February, 2023.
