Betty Korir

Ms Betty Korir is a seasoned banker and business professional with proven success in business development, credit and asset management, corporate relations, Strategic Planning, change management and strong consumer experiences.

Ms. Betty Korir currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, of Credit Bank PLC where she has been instrumental in formulating the bank’s overall strategy. Her multifaceted skill set allows her to oversee all aspects of the bank’s operations including sustainability, digital transformation initiatives, risk management and customer satisfaction.

Her leadership has resulted in numerous accolades for Credit Bank PLC, including ISO Certification, Best Bank in Corporate Governance, Best SME Bank, Best Bank in Trade Finance, and the Sustainability Award in the Green Energy Space. Credit Bank PLC was also recognized as the winner at the Kenya ESG Awards 2023-2024 in the Ethical Finance Institution category. She was named among the Top 100 Women CEOs in Africa in 2021 and was recognized as the Overall Winner of the Inclusive Leader, East Africa category at the Accenture 11th Gender Mainstreaming Awards.

Betty holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Nairobi, complemented by an LLB and a Bachelor of Education Degree. She has garnered various accreditations in Risk Management and is recognized as an Associate of the Kenya Institute of Bankers [AKIB/ACIB], a member of the Global Association of Finance and Management (GAFM), and a Chartered Credit Analyst (CCA).
