Dr. Francis Lwanga is the CEO of Zambia Electronic Clearing House Limited (ZECHL). He has played a pivotal role in Zambia’s payment systems evolution with the country now running the most robust and advanced interoperable payment system through the National Financial Switch (NFS). Dr. Lwanga is a specialist in payments and a business turnaround expert with over 25 years’ wide experience in several industries, having worked in the Banking and Finance industry and Payment Systems, Mining, Rail Transport and Logistics, Payment Systems. He has worked in executive positions in a number of Institutions; Managing Director and Editor in Chief for the Times of Zambia Newspaper, CEO for Zamlink a private owned switch, Director Marketing at Zambia Railways, Director Corporate Support at National Savings and Credit Bank, Chief Marketing and Sales Executive at Ndola Lime Company.
