Emad has 22 years of solid experience and successful track record in building scalable technology and digital products for the financial services industry. Emad is building the next generation of digital banking services in Egypt and the region. Previously, Emad was the Chief Information Officer for IDH Group where he helped the group expand geographically, building new products and and in building their digital channels, and before that he was the Head of Software Engineering at EFG Hermes responsible for building the firm’s capital markets technology stack.

Emad has led the building of outstanding digital products such as Banque Misr digital apps for retail, SMEs and Corporates, the successful BNPL fintechs Souhoola and ValU and the most advanced capital markets trading platform for EFG Hermes that covered various countries in addition to various successful technology and digital products. Emad is an expert leading and structuring product-driven tech and data teams that enable organizations to transform their business model and digital capabilities in the present digital and data first economy.
