Gwenaël is currently the Head of Payments Digitisation & Open Payments at Standard Bank, where he leads the strategy, development and commercialisation of digital payment innovations and customer experiences. His focus is Open Payments business strategies for the group, integrating economic models, partnerships, architecture, risk and regulatory into customer solutions across the retail, business and corporate markets. Gwenaël accumulated a wealth of experience in his 20 years career in the payment industry, through multiple business management disciplines and diverse teamwork. He has a genuine passion for creating digital banking experiences, a domain where he can uniquely leverage his dual business/technology competency, whilst leading and inspiring teams to collaborate, solution and execute.
