Matambila Karima

Matambila started her career in entry-level customer support roles working for Telecommunications companies in Perth, Australia. After moving back to her home country Zambia, she joined Finance Bank Zambia as an IT Officer in the Information Technology Department. She rose through the ranks promoted to the role of Team Lead IT Security & Risk when Finance Bank Zambia and BancABC merged to form Atlasmara Zambia. She then took up the role of Country Head, Information Security at Ecobank Zambia, a position she holds today. She has been instrumental in implementing Ecobank’s Information Security and Business Continuity Management Systems, leading to the bank attaining global certifications in PCI DSS, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001. Additionally, she is a member of the Women in Technology Network (Zambia), whose mission is to narrow the gender gap in technology among women. She is the co-host of the Honeypot Chats podcast focused on cybersecurity awareness.
